Abstract Submissions for 2026 Conference

Deadline: 17^th April 2026

Authors are invited to submit abstracts for acceptance for oral and poster presentation at the 2026 UK & Ireland Brachytherapy Conference under one of three categories:

1. 1. Clinical
   2. Physics
   3. Radiation Therapists/Therapeutic Radiographers – this includes patient experience and QoL

Please submit your final Abstract using the Submission Form at the bottom of this page. You may prefer to write your abstract in Microsoft Word or similar prior to using the form in order to check spelling and run a word count.

The deadline for submission is 17^th  April 2026. Submissions received after this date will not be accepted.

Review Process

All submitted abstracts will be assessed by the Review Panel who will accept a set number of abstracts for oral and/or poster presentations at the 2026 UK & Ireland Brachytherapy Meeting.

The project should substantially be the own work of the submitting author.

Those authors invited to present their abstract for oral or poster presentation will be required to register and attend the 2026 UK & Ireland Brachytherapy Meeting.  Please DO NOT submit an abstract if you know you are unable to attend the Conference. Registration payment is required by the presenting author by the author registration deadline. If you are unable to register for the meeting by this deadline, your abstract will be withdrawn.

In order for us to send further information to the correct person, please ensure that the submitting author will also be the presenting author.

Preparing the Abstract

The results should contain adequate data to assess the results and interpret the conclusions.

Abstract submissions should NOT include scientific tables, symbols or diagrams and should not exceed 300 words (excluding references).

The content should be arranged STRICTLY under the following headings:

1. 1. PURPOSE
   2. METHODS
   3. RESULTS
   4. CONCLUSION.

The results should contain adequate data to assess the results and interpret the conclusions.

References:

References should be identified in the text using square brackets and numbered and listed consecutively at the end of the paper in the order in which they are first cited in the text. The word count excludes the references listed.

Presentation Format

Oral Presentations

All presentations must be delivered in English. The PowerPoint presentation should be sent to the 2026 UK & Ireland Brachytherapy Conference Secretariat [email protected] in advance of the Conference by the deadline of Thursday 11^th June 2026.

Poster Presentation

Posters must be A0 (84cm x 120cm), portrait style.

Citable Publication

Accepted abstracts will be published on this conference website. Abstracts will not be edited and will be published as received.
